AOL Dial-up Subscribers: If you are an AOL Dial-up user, you can use AOL’s built in email program to send your mail. Unfortunately, America Online doesn’t provide an Outgoing SMTP server for your use. AOL proprietary built-in email program is the only supported way that you can send email while connected through AOL. Perhaps you should consider changing your ISP. You can still receive email from your domain email address in the AOL built-in email software. We recommend that your domain email mailbox be set to automatically forward email address to you@yourdomain.com to your AOL email address. We can do this for you on request. You can also do this by surfing to http://yourdomain.com:81/. Note the ‘:81’ means it will connect on port 81 and is required to connect to your Post.Office administration screens.
Click 'Select Mail Delivery Method'
Enter your AOL email address and press submit. Now, email sent to you@yourdomain.com is automatically forwarded to your AOL email address. You'll read the email in the AOL program. When you press ‘Reply’, your outgoing reply will have the return address of yourSreenName@aol.com. The only solution to this is to get an Internet Service Provider that supports standards based protocols like POP3 and SMTP.
